Editing a thread will bump it even if there are no changes

To reproduce:

- create new thread #1

- create new thread #2

- click edit thread #1 and without changing anything click submit

- thread #1 will be bumped above thread #2 for no reason

Is that expected behavior or a bug?

I thought that normal forum behavior is to display threads in order by the last post (newest) in that thread, not by last (empty) edit.

Well, I am not sure it is a bug, feature or simply bad implementation.

AsmBB updates the last change time of the thread on the fact of saving, without comparing the content for difference.

But also, it can be considered a "hidden feature". You don't need to post a "bump" posts, if you want your thread get more attention. rofl
